Change is the only constant - a saying that opens up for endless possibilities and new beginnings. Or the end of something.
I'll be resigning from Designkollektivet at the end of February, the shop I took part in starting up with at that point 5 other designers. Since a few have left and a few and come, and our little shop has grown and developed and become more known and acknowledged in the Copenhagen design scene. Now it's my turn to say goodbye, something that makes me feel quite sentimental, but the friendships will remain.
The reason for this change is that I have much in my life. I am still studying Sustainable Fashion at KEA and am now on the 6th semester.
Also working part time for the NGO Clean Clothes Campaign I am connected to a project aiming to create more awareness about sustainability issues both at the Danish design schools as well as for the consumer.
I am participating in Youth Fashion Summit, a part of world acknowledged Copenhagen Fashion Summit the world's largest event on sustainability in fashion.
I am also a part of the Danish organization Fair2Wear, a network for people working within sustainability in textiles creating meetings with relevant and interesting lectures and talks.
So there is lots going on and I'm in love with all of it. Working with this, meeting so many passionate, loving and committed people with similar values as mine gives me strength to keep working for a change.
Yes change is the key word.
